Naming a band is an act of concentrated creative expression. Square Pig in a Round Hole exists to reward five favorite band names each week. Winners are (usually) listed alphabetically.
Selection is wholly unscientific and subject to whim, with a bias toward wordplay, humor, and local flavor. In most cases, I won’t know anything about the bands at the time of selection. Thanks to the Seattle Times club listings for abundant source material!
My publisher, Not A Pipe Publishing, has a booth at Rose City ComicCon this weekend and did a well-attended panel yesterday on Women Authors in Science Fiction and Fantasy featuring several of my sibling authors. I was unable to attend but my book is ably representing me. (Read to the end for an event where I will be present.) Meanwhile, nothing stands in the way of band names:
Best idea in ages: after the tour and lunch with your departed loved ones in the celestial cafe, pick up a souvenir magnet or snowglobe to remember your visit.
Might be mice. Could be squirrels. Possums are possible. Really, raccoons? Llamas unlikely but don’t underestimate them.
