After the government took charge of the Chrysalis outbreak, they told the public it had been contained, that it was no longer a threat.

They lied.

As the government tries to suppress the latest outbreak and stifle the news, and as outbreaks rage out of control, Torres, Miranda, and Marius embark on a cross-country odyssey, seeking refuge in Montana. But Marius’ immune blood is too valuable to the wrong people. And Miranda is hearing the whispers of the Infected.

Can Torres, Marius, and Miranda find a way to prepare humanity to weather the coming viral apocalypse?

My review:

Survivors’ Club gave me nightmares, and I was still eager—for 5 years!—to read the sequel. And it does not disappoint. Those same lovable characters are back, more complex and troubled, on a high-stakes road trip at the end of the world that I was more than ready to ride along on.

Marius, Miranda, Torres, and Courage survived the Harrow Hall Virus, quarantine, and detention together. They are (or should be) immune, but when the viral outbreak goes global and gets even creepier, immunity might be the least of their worries. They end up on a road trip up the west coast and across the Pacific Northwest to Montana, seeking safety and encountering threats and allies along the way. Marius and Miranda both discover their own strange relationships to the Infected, but who is in control? It’s a pulse-pounding thriller … unexpectedly filled with sweet moments of love and friendship. These characters are appealing and fully developed, like real people you’ll want to hang out with and worry about. I hope we don’t have to wait another 5 years for book 3!

Full disclosure: I had the privilege of copyediting this book, so I got to read it way in advance.
